Grade Liaisons at Henderson
At Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School, we believe that parental engagement in school life supports student development and teacher effectiveness. To that end, we have established Grade Liaisons for each grade and encore group to help with this.
Grade Liaisons connect parents and teachers at each grade level to collaborate and identify where parent involvement and support can be most helpful -- either in the classroom or across a whole grade level. Parent Liaisons then mobilize volunteer efforts from families to provide resources, volunteer assistance and other forms of support for our teachers and students. Examples include donating snacks for testing days, chaperoning field trips, or even sharing your particular area of expertise with students who are engaged in a related project.
